Eat… drink… and be a monkey!!!

After six years The Three Monkeys relocated in a brand new building opposite from their former location in central Chaweng. The Three Monkeys is the brainchild of Pat, Jod and Dome. ”The Three Monkeys Pub Restaurant is all about friendship, born out of friendship, forming friendships, the perfect place for friends to spend time together on Samui. We were monkey friends before we became monkey managers” quotes Pat. “Right! We wanted to combine top quality food with a happy environment on the island of Samui. That's why The Three Monkeys has become famous for its specialty dishes, lively atmosphere and monkey surprises. First we had to find the right monkey name!" Jod says. Dome adds to that: "And because Samui is famous for its monkey tradition - worker monkeys climbing the trees to provide coconuts to the island's people - and as there are three of us, Samui's most welcoming pub restaurant became The Three Monkeys”.

The restaurant downstairs has a spacious bar area, a comfortable dining area and a cozy terrace to enjoy a refreshing drink and watching people passing by on the main street. Upstairs you will find the air conditioned area with a brand new pool table and internet facilities with webcams and microphones for life conferencing with your home front through SKYPE or LIVE Messenger. They also offer free WiFi for notebook users, just asked at the bar for the password of the day. All these services are free of use for drinking and dining guests. Also on the upper floor, facing the main street, you can watch the world go by from the outside monkey balcony. And for sport lovers amongst you, upstairs and downstairs they have several big screen TV’s for showing major sport events.

The menu, both food and drinks, is another piece of art itself and interesting to read. From European to Thai, the names of the dishes are so catchy that you will be tempted to try more than one dish and drink. Every delicious dish on the menu has been chosen with your health and happiness in mind, home-made pastas, prime quality meat, delicious sauces and healthy Thai specialties. For starters, how does “Sleeping With Monkeys” sound? Or what about “Hugging Monkeys”? On the mains you will be tickled with curiosity by reading “Underneath Monkeys’ Blanket” and “Sneezing Monkeys”. On to the Thai section tempt your taste buds with “Hidden Treasures” and “Monkeys’ Round Table Knights”. If you are vegetarian they also have a variety of vegetarian dishes. Our suggestion before ordering your monkey meal; start with their signature Monkey Shots like “Broken Heart Monkey”, “Chunky Monkeys’ Blood” or “Spooky Monkey”. Compliment your meal with a choice of premium spirits, ice-cold beer, barista quality coffee or a mouth watering fruit juice.

For those who are not the early bird type of people but still enjoy a good breakfast after waking up late in the morning or even in the afternoon, breakfast is served all day! And when you arrive in the afternoon you can join the happy hour from 2.30 pm until 6.30 pm, Chang Draught, Bottled Singha & Chang and the cocktail of the month: Buy one, get one free! In the evening the happy hour is from 22.00 pm until 1.00 am. The music is adjusted to the atmosphere; for dinner the tunes you will hear are Jazz, Slow Jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin, Brazilian and Chill out. After dinner it will pump to Acid Jazz, Electronic, House and Disco.
